Description
A Wing and a Prayer is a painting about survival, faith, and the quiet strength carried through generations. Set against the vast, weathered landscape of Glacier, the Native American figure feels both grounded in the earth and lifted by spirit. The textures are rugged and layered, echoing stone, wind. ash. and time. elements that have shaped both the land and the people who belong to it.
The title speaks to resilience: moving forward with little more than belief, instinct. and ancestral memory. Hints of light and color emerge through the muted earth tones like blessings breaking through hardship. suggesting guidance from the unseen. This is a portrait of endurance. The figure stands as a guardian between worlds, carrying prayer. history, and hope across a landscape that remembers everything.
Personally, it feels like an inner knowing that i cannot explain to others. But, a feeling I have always had.
