Please join us as Dana Gallery welcomes our LOCAL LEGENDS exhibit at an open house May 20th from 2-5 pm.
This show features celebrated Missoula artist Janet Sullivan and Flathead Lake area artist Dana Berardinis. Montana landscapes are a common theme in both artists’ work.
Dana Berardinis’ work focuses on the forces and cycles of nature. “Through my work I hope to help people understand why we need to conserve nature and our wild lands in order to live in a healthy environment.”
Dana has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions at the Missoula Art Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, Holter and Paris Gibson Museums of Art, Cleveland Art Institute, and an early showing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
With a background in environmental conservation, Janet Sullivan’s love of painting has led her to a 45 year career as an artist. Her landscapes capture the fleeting beauty of the American West, free of human influences, “depicting ethereal skies, cystalline rivers, and haunting fires.”
Janet was awarded Artist in Residence at Crater Lake National Park, Oregon and with the Great Bear Wilderness by the Hockaday/Artist-Wilderness-Connection program. She was a founding member of the Montana Painter’s Alliance and is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America.
Sullivan and Berardinis will be here to celebrate, meet, and greet during this event. Please stop by to say hello and enjoy the marvelous works!
