Robbie is the fifth of six children. He saw his older siblings’ courage and decided to leave Idaho to pursue his higher education. At the time, he knew nothing better than to get a Business Degree, but after one year at the University of Arkansas he realized a deep-rooted passion for art that he could not ignore.
Robbie completed his Business Finance degree while making the most of his free time by working with children, participating in a fraternity, and working a variety of jobs. He came to realize people did not see the beauty around them. Robbie had been raised to acknowledge and revel in the beauty around him. No business school could change that.
As Robbie started his artistic journey in 2018, he spent the majority of his time drawing. He studied Bridgeman and Loomis books on figures and anatomy, followed by Carlson on landscape painting. Robbie’s time as apprentice to his father, Robert Moore, has of course been more valuable than any self-teaching Robbie could manage.
Beyond drawing, Robbie managed gouache and watercolor in his limited college living spaces. Come 2021 Robbie’s employer commissioned him to complete twelve oil paintings for a company calendar with a second printing scheduled for 2023. This was exactly the motivation Robbie needed to jumpstart his work in oils. After that, Robbie continued painting on weekends as he worked full time with SupplyPike, a young and vibrant startup in North Western Arkansas.
Robbie’s future aspirations lie in a desire to make the most of his upbringing. He recently moved back West to pursue a full-time art career and is grateful for the support of his galleries, clients, and fellow artists.
