Parvin grew up in the beauty of the Iranian hillsides with occasional visits to the Caspian Sea on the northern coast. These scenes have greatly impacted the artist she became. She emigrated to the United States at age 8, went back to Iran to attend high school, and returned to the United States to major in Story Illustration at Chouinard Art Institute (California Institute of the Arts). Moving from story illustration, to advertising illustration, to fashion illustration, and finally to fine art has been an interesting and rewarding journey for Parvin. Her time at Chouinard allowed her to master painting figures and landscapes. Her portfolio of figure drawings provided her with a position in an advertising company immediately upon graduation. Microsoft and Boeing executives are among those who collect her work worldwide. Her paintings are exhibited in museums and galleries in Florida, Montana and Washington. Full Bio
