David Mensing grew up in Iowa, surrounded by wide prairies and carefully groomed cornfields. His love of wild places was cultivated by family camping, backpacking and biking trips. When he moved to The West as a young man, he
was captivated by its raw beauty.

For David, each painting is a statement – every aspect of the presentation is important. His architectural background contributes to his compelling designs. He is careful to select a title for each painting that reflects the character and spiritual
basis of the work. Dave has also worked professionally as an architect and a camp director. He has
been certified as a white-water rafting guide and at one time was a talented pole
vaulter.

David lives in Sisters, Oregon with his wife and their three children. David Mensing earnestly confesses Jesus Christ as Lord.
David Mensing’s paintings are featured in collections and exhibitions across the nation and around the globe. Numerous periodicals have featured his work with cover images and feature articles, including American Art Collector, Southwest Art
